BMW followed the evergreen but ageing 6-series with the modern 8-series.  Even today, the car looks like it could be sold new today, despite the basic design dating back over twenty years -- such is the power of poor sales and unfamiliarity on the road.  The C-Pillar is true to BMW's Hofmeister Kink, which has become a sort of styling trap lately -- but here it's updated for a modern audience without being overbearing.
