Winner - Theme Competition No 52. The weekly theme competition usually has a title/theme but as this was the first anniversary of the competition - the submission guidelines were "ANYTHING GOES". ........................................................................................................................................... The sea was really rough today and I met this chap heading along the shore with his dog. Here and beyond this point the waves were coming up over the sea defenses and across the promenade. You can see the water coming over the path ahead. I had taken a couple of photos of the sea coming over the top, but nothing special before he arrived. We exchanged pleasantries during which time I was predominantly concentrating on trying to keep the salt water off my camera. I pointed out that he could expect to get drenched heading along the next stretch, but I could see he was already wet - and his dog certainly looked up to the challenge. He did pause briefly and seemed to give the matter a little thought before heading off into the spray.
