After the Kill

            Can't you see I'm eating...? Apart from being my favourite photo of all times, this was an experience beyond belief. We came across this lioness, when she was lurking in some tall grass a bit away from a group of zebras and wildebeest. Only ten minutes later, she took up the hunt and chased one down, killed it and started gorging herself on the carcass. As my wife commented afterwards, it's funny how you always hope that the prey gets away alive when you see stuff like this on Discovery. In real life, you just understand that the prey is meant to die, however cute it looks. Brutal and yet beautiful to behold.
