Conglomerate Shoreline ~ Motukiekie, West Coast

            It's easy to see why the towering cliffs here at Motukiekie are always all too ready to pounce on the unsuspecting passer by.
Rainfall easily seeps into the many fissures in this conglomerate rock, causing massive chunks to flake and crumble from the cliff face quite regularly. I have seen several large rockfalls on Motukiekie beach in the last few years.
