How does the stuff get to Pinellas County? (Part 2 of 4)

            Here is a simplified map that shows the rail connection between Yeoman yard and Pinellas County. Yeoman yard, where the freight trains to Pinellas County are assembled, is at the extreme right, south of Tampa's East Columbus Drive and north of Adamo Drive.

The "S-line" that runs west from the Yeoman yard (it was the yard of the old SAL railroad, and S-line refers to former SAL tracks) starts to curve northward after passing North 40th Street. The line crosses the Hillsborough River over an old truss bridge above East Sligh Avenue, and then starts to head west at Sulfur Springs. The part of the line that continues northward from Sulfur Springs eventually reaches Brooksville and beyond.

The part of the line that heads west from Sulfur Springs, parallel to West Busch Boulevard, eventually passes under the Dale Mabry Highway overpass and then starts to run parallel to Linebaugh Avenue. It passes under the Veterans Expressway and continues west, crossing Wilsky Boulevard, Sheldon Road, and Countryway Boulevard. The Drew Spur is located along this route, and the rail that once went to Tarpon Springs is represented by a dotted black line.
