Vestmannaeyjar or the Westman Islands are a small mostly uninhabited achipelago and lie off the South Coast of Iceland, on the days that we were in this area they were mostly invisible, hidden by mist and low cloud.

This one day however we had visited Seljalandsfoss and the light had been pretty good, on coming out of the big waterfall cave there near to sunset the light was absolutely superb, really kicking off over the islands with a ginormous set of storm clouds drifting over them the low sun was somehow breaking through and illuminating the islands as sillhouettes, it didn't last for very long so was really lucky to be able to get a shot as I already had my longer lens in the bag, an absolute joy to watch.

The ferry to the island can be seen in the far right corner of the image, hadn't noticed that at the time..
