Sotres está situado en medio de Picos de Europa, entre el macizo Oriental y el Central, y se encuentra enclavado en un valle a unos 19 km de Carreña, la capital del concejo.
El acceso por carretera se toma desde Arenas de Cabrales en dirección a Poncebos, a partir de ese punto la carretera cruza el rio Cares y empieza a subir con grandes vistas sobre Picos.
Sotres cuenta con varios hoteles, un albergue y restaurantes (se come de maravilla) y es una magnifica base para paseos o excursiones. En invierno es fácil encontrarlo cubierto de nieve con un paisaje que parece extraido de un cuento.
Picos es un lugar ideal para perderse. Aquí parece que se detiene el tiempo y te olvidas del mundanal ruído por completo. Es una comunión con la madre naturaleza, donde los sentimientos y sentidos se agudizan ante tanta belleza: la luz, el color, el olor, los sonidos y la paz que aquí se respira, no tienen comparación.

Sotres is located in the middle of Europa's beaks, between the Eastern and Central Massif, and is nestled in a valley about 19 km from Carreno, the capital of the council.
Road access is taken from Arenas de Cabrales Poncebos direction, from that point the road crosses the river Cares and start climbing with great views over Beaks.
Sotres has several hotels, a hostel and restaurants (we eat a great time) and is a great base for walks and excursions. In winter it is easy to find a snowy landscape that seems taken from a story.
Peaks is an ideal place to get lost. This seems to stop time and forget the hustle and noise completely. It is a communion with Mother Nature, where feelings and senses are sharpened by so much beauty: light, color, smell, sounds and peace that can breathe, no comparison.
