            GBRf 66710 Phil Packer powers through the East/West platforms at Shipley working 6D72, 11:32 Hull Dairycoates to Rylstone "Tilcon" empties, 13th March 2018. I was all set up for a much wider angle shot along the platform, with far more of the train in the shot. However this was ruined by someone deciding to walk straight towards me along the platform as 66710 appeared and I had to quickly change to this almost engine only view. Such is life.

Shipley station is one of two stations in the United Kingdom (the other being Earlstown) with platforms on all three sides of a triangle. The South/West and South/East platforms date from the 1880’s when the station was rebuilt by the Midland Railway however the East/West side of the triangle did not get its platforms until 1979 (Down Line) and 1992 (Up Line).
