Just doing my bit to promote the NHS Organ Donor Register :$

I like to wear it when I go shopping. If it just makes one more person sign up when they get home then I feel that I might save a persons life.

Just a bit of info:

Today is: Saturday, 09 June 2007
Since 1 April 2007:

149 people have donated organs
an additional 322 people have donated corneas
388 people have received the gift of sight
437 people have received transplants
7,236 people are still waiting for transplants

A total of 1,914 patients received a kidney transplant of which 590 (31%) were given their kidney by a friend or relative - this increase of 24% sets another record for the number of living kidney transplants in the UK.

I consider myself very blessed as I have my Dad who is donating his Kidney to me, but some people do not have this option. Please consider signing up today if you have not done so already.
