Swing and a Miss!

            Not a very promising first effort. It has some kind of Curse of Boils going on. No real crackle to the finish. I got a, "Vein" finish because those finishes hide imperfections (though nothing's gonna hide this Elephant Man deformity), but this Vein finish ain't so freakin' vein-y.

I just sanded this bulge thing down, which wasn't easy. I mean, that's the appeal, obviously. Powder coating is tough stuff. Ain't gonna scratch or chip like paint. I mean, you can do it, but it takes way more effort to mess up one of these finishes...you know, unless you mess it up as you apply it! Then the sky's the limit!

Hey, I'm out of my Comfort Zone. Gotta push yourself out of your Comfort Zone as often as possible, right?

Need a crackle-ier crackle finish.
