Senior Airman Sangha is a TACP assigned to the 14th Air Support Operations Squadron (ASOS). The 14th ASOS provides direct support to the Army's 82nd Airborne Division. Because he works in the ground combat role with Army soldiers Senior Airman Sangha wears the Army Combat Uniform. TACP airmen are allowed to wear, on certain uniforms and under certain circumstances, the organizational patch of the Army unit they are supporting. They are also allowed to wear the wartime service patch, or combat patch, of Army units they have served with in combat. Sangha wears the 82nd Airborne Division patch on his left shoulder indicating that he is currently assigned to support that unit. Also on the left shoulder he wears a TACP recognition patch that identifies him as a member of a Tactical Air Control Party. On his right shoulder he wears the patch of the 10th Mountain Division, indicating he served in combat while assigned to support that Army formation. Above this patch on the right side he wears a subdued Infrared (IR) reflective patch of the Flag of the Unted States. This patch reflects ambient and supplemental light making the patch highly visible to night vision equipment, thus identifying as a "friendly" to his fellow airmen and soldiers at night. He wears his nametape, branch of service tape, and rank insignia on the chest. He is wearing the black beret with the TACP cloth flash and metal device.
