            Lake Mc Donald is the largest lake in Glacier National Park, it  lies at an elevation of 3,153 feet (960 m) and is on the west side of the Continental Divide. The lake is surrounded by a dense coniferous forest. In 2003, the Roberts fire burned most of those trees on the west shore of the lake but many of the burned trees remain. It can be just a little apocalyptic looking at them all. This is a view from the lake itself, we took a boat out and were the only people on the lake, it was very cool.
