Barn owl in the moon - a photo on Flickriver

I posted this image nearly a year ago, and I’m not sure if it’s kosher to re-run it on Flickr, but I remember thinking at the time that I should have saved it for Halloween. So, here it is in the appropriate season. It is a composite of a barn owl, substantially darkened here, and a shot of a full moon. Our son has organized an art show in one of the buildings he manages in San Francisco’s financial district, in which he is using a 16x20 print of this in a raffle benefiting Guide Dogs for the Blind, and he tells me it is pulling in a ton of money. That’s a wonderful organization, and nothing could please me more.
