            You're driving along the edge of the desert in dim evening light when you see something strange. It appears to be the fins of a pod of monster sharks, stationary and waiting. As you get closer you see that they're... tails. Airplane tails. On a lot of really HUGE airplanes. Which are sitting, parked, next to smaller airplanes and even smaller planes, jets and prop lanes, bombers and fighters, lanes and lanes of them disappearing into the distance.
You've found Davis-Monthan Air Force Base, an airplane boneyard of 4,200 planes and as you head toward Tucson you're driving through the boneyard, planes upon planes on both sides of the road.
