Grand Teton National Park, WY-John D Rockefeller, Jr. Memorial Parkway Entrance

            Leaving Grand Teton National Park, this is the last look back at that stunning range from the pullover to the entrance of John D. Rockefeller, Jr. Memorial Parkway. 

"Parting is such sweet sorry." But from here, it's on to Yellowstone!

The Rockefeller Parkway connects these two national parks. Without doubt, there would be no Grand Teton National Park as we know it if not for the conservation and philanthropy of John D. Rockefeller, Jr. He made significant contributions to several other national parks including Acadia, Great Smoky Mountains and the Virgin Islands. 

In 1972 Congress dedicated these 24,000-acres to him as recognition of his generosity and foresight.
