A WINGED BULL FOR SENNACHERIB PALACE: The manufacturer and transport of a colossal stone bull (lamassu) from Balatai to Nineveh.
These panels show the story as a whole. The entire sequence contain 7 (or may be 8) separate scenes but many panels are now lost. They formed part of the decoration of Court VI in the South-West palace at Nineveh, carved about 700-692 BC. The panels are (from right to left, when you enter the room of Nineveh, at the British Museum):
1. Lost panel. 1a. At the quarry.
2. Leaving the quarry. 2a. Bringing equipment (panel now lost).   
3. Royal inspection (King Sennacherib stands in his rickshaw and watches the work).
4. Approaching the river.
5. Approaching the palace.
