Milky Way dives into Tenaya Lake

In the absence of moonlight, the night sky becomes even more dramatic -- the lower portion is NOT a sunset but light pollution from cities 100mi away. During my previous visit at night to Yosemite NP, there was a full moon creating a unique MOONBOW but obliterating many of the faint stars you see here, but to see the Milky way, the moon is not welcome. Here's a link to the (growing number) of my "Yosemite & Milky Way". Or try plain-vanilla Milky Way only photos. D32_8388_NCX_bib © Copyright 2009, All rights reserved.
