Mycena chlorophos in darkness - a photo on Flickriver

            I had the rare opportunity to photograph two different species of bioluminescent fungi yesterday evening! I had arranged to photograph some Mycena chlorophos growing on a palm frond at the University of Queensland, but then yesterday morning a friend at work said that he had seen some Ghost Fungi (Omphalotus nidiformis) near JC Slaughter Falls at Mt Coot-tha here in Brisbane and offered to show me the location! And to my surprise there was more Mycena chlorophos only a few meters away from the Ghost Fungus!
