November the 5th. My first Flickr-versary. Its been a great year. My photography has improved (fortunately!) and my interest has increased. I've made some great contacts, met some great people and made some friends along the way. Thanks to everyone who has paid me a visit and said nice things about my pictures. Here's a few I really like (as opposed to Explore, which always seems to pick the ones I'm not always happy with!!). I'm looking forward to what Year Two brings... 1. Penarth Pier, Wales. - My most faved and commented pic! Hurrah! 2. Suburban Swirls. I just love these - I've always had an interest in the stars but being able to capture them is fantastic! 3. Maen Llia Standing Stone - A big thanks to the "Maen Llia Mafia" - looking forward to another trip soon! 4. Nautical Dawn [Cropped Version] - Discovering the peace of dawn time has been a great experience. 5. Landscapes by Numbers. - My summer was dominated by the coasts. These have been full of adventure and discovery! 6. St Mary's Well Bay Coastline - Not only that but my photography knowledge has increased! 7. Sully Sun Stone 8. Light Weaver... - The one was for a WFC competition - I loved trying out different ideas, away from the sort of thing I'd normally go for. 9. Times Square - September 2002 - Crap photo, special day. Its the day I asked Jessica to marry me. I took this that morning as a record of the day. 10. Catching the Moon in your Hands - Going out and about in the dark last winter helped me get over the frustration of the approach of winter and dark nights. 11. Waiting for Fish - My first proper shot with the wide angle lens I bought just after Christmas last year. Now its stuck to my camera all the time! 12. St Augustines in the Fog - My highest Explore entry and also my shortest time shooting! These were grabbed on the way to work!! Oh the Guilt! 13. My Model Town - I love this view. But I chose this shot for Debs, since we were talking about tilt / shift on Friday night at the WFC social. 14. Times Square - I love it when a plan comes together. My wife thought I was mad taking this one out of focus but I love it. 15. Statue of Liberty - Again, crap picture (too noisy) but the best shot I have from this spot. 16. NYC Taxi - I love this one too, despite the amount of effort it took to get! Created with fd's Flickr Toys.

Flickriver is a web-based image viewer that provides a new way to explore and view Flickr photos.
It's a personal project of Alex Sirota (aka iosart).
Flickriver enhances your photo browsing experience in several ways:
Answer: Flickriver is simply an alternative Flickr viewer, and as such it displays all public Flickr photos using the official Flickr API - similarly to hundreds of other alternative Flickr viewers and tools. Flickriver doesn't host any photos and doesn't reference any photos specifically - it is merely a viewer that reflects whatever Flickr provides it when you ask it to.
Flickr have specific guidelines for viewers such as Flickriver and other applications that use their API - for example, once a viewer displays a public Flickr photo, the photo must link back to its original Flickr page - so there can be no misunderstanding about the image origin, author or copyright. As you can see, Flickriver is absolutely compliant with this guideline. You can read the official Flickr FAQ about this here and here.
Flickr allows you to opt out from third party services having access to your photos using Flickr API. You can opt out on this page by selecting both:
Note: Flickriver uses the Flickr API but is not endorsed or certified by Flickr.
Use Flickriver Badge Creator to create a badge linking to your photos, your group or any other Flickriver view.
You can place your badge on your Flickr profile, Blog or Website.
