"Celle-ci, pauvre et orpheline, vivait sous les railleries des habitants ; elle partit comme bonne à Montpellier dans une famille chez qui elle rencontra Paulin Talabot, directeur d'une grande compagnie, qu'elle épousa. Après la mort de ce dernier, afin de se venger des humiliations qu'elle avait subies dans sa jeunesse elle vint étaler sa réussite aux Marmots en construisant le monument en dessous duquel elle fut enterrée car, en partant, elle leur avait dit "Un jour je vous dominerai tous". Son monument, fut donc construit sur les ruines de l'ancien château-fort" (de l'entrée St Geniez d'Olt de Wikipedia)
