            Agriculture has always been the main activity in Njombe above is pineapple photo taken in one of the local Market in Njombe. In this region About half of the households grows fruits including pineapples. The  production of pineapples was introduced in this region around 1976 and so far the most wards that have been extensively involved in the growing of pineapples are  Kifanya, Ihanga and Yakobi
