My first EXPLORE! #199 on 9/30/08 Day 62. My worst nightmare. All the computers crashed with the dreaded BSOD. Thankfully I woke up and remembered I run Linux on everything so it was just a nightmare! I was stumped on what to do and was thinking something very dark and brooding but the "eyes sewn shut" image is way overdone. Then, my wife injected "Your worst nightmare would be if all the computers crashed." Strobist info: FL-36R on camera pointed at ceiling for a little bit of fill and to trigger the slaves optically. FL-36R behind monitors on full with red gel pointed at wall. Digi-Slave 3000 with a 50% grid filter and a blue gel snooted to light the right (your left) side of my face with a blue sheen. The trick was to get the flash light low enough that the monitors were still a deep blue. Post processing in LightZone for Linux and Gimp. Googled for two screenshots of BSOD's and displayed one on each monitor. Had to resize them a bit because a BSOD isn't designed for wide screen. See the setup here.
