Playa de Barlovento, Jandia, Fuerteventura

Sunset at Playa de Barlovento from El Islote.

El Islote is a rocky outcrop that roughly divides 20km long Barlovento beach in half. It is about an hour's walk along the beach from the nearest parking area, which itself lies at the end of a long dirt road.. So by the time sunset came around, I had this spot completely to myself, there wasn't another person around for as far as the eye could see!

Shortly after taking this shot, I started walking / running back to the car and made it there just in time before darkness. There are no lights whatsoever here, a little later and I am not sure I would have been able to find it any more.
