Bocholter Aa - 7. Rhedebrügge - a photo on Flickriver

Die Brücke über die Bocholter Aa auf dem Weg von Borken nach Rhede (und weiter nach Bocholt) war immer ein wichtiger Verbindungspunkt der Region. Die Gegend um diese Brücke heißt daher Rhedebrügge. Das abgebildete Haus liegt direkt vor dieser Brücke und die Bewohner haben den Familiennamen Te Rhedebrügge ("zur Rheder Brücke").

The bridge over the Bocholter Aa has always been an important point on the road from Borken to Rhede (and furtheron to Bocholt). So this area is called Rhedebruegge (Rhede-bridge). This farmhouse is built next to the bridge. Though this building ist from 1899, the farm and family located here is much older. The family's name is Te Rhedebruegge (means "to Rhede-bridge").
