            Updated information: 2003/01/29: According to Vanishing DeKalb, by the DeKalb Historical Society, (pg. 119) the Decatur Council paid $8,000 for the engine when it established the fire department in 1914.  It also notes that along with the courthouse Turner Funeral Home and Hardware Store can be seen in the background.
