El Salvador San Andres D3199 - a photo on Flickriver

The best part of the San Andres Maya site is this section, which has been saved from the brutal concrete covering used almost everywhere else on the site and others around El Salvador. In the distance you can see some of the many huge agriculture farms covering the mountainous landscape around San Salvador. Claudia Ramirez ('CultureFreak' ) was kind enough to shed some light on the concrete coverings (as per the comment below), explaining that this structure remained uncovered because it is made from Tuff stone, whereas the rest was made of adobe.
