Ukraine: People vs. President - a photo on Flickriver

            People went out in squares of all cities of Ukraine with largest demonstrations in Kyiv and in the west. Ukrainians unite for EU and against their president, as never before...

Yes, this is true! These are not just nice headings and dramatic stories written for high ratings of the media. People are in the streets and squares standing side-by-side with the aim to protest against presidents last minute refusal to sign the association agreement with EU. We are all just tired of corruption, lies and crime that became a part of normal everyday life of the present “elite” ruling the country. People lived with the hope for this agreement as the way to freedom from corrupt bureaucrats. People had hope and Yanukovych stepped on it with his dirty brutal hand-made shoes and gave an order to swipe off the 16+ aged students from the main square with cruelty and brutality. Police was chasing the poor teenagers hundreds of meters further from the square beating their heads in the backyards where they tried to hide. Number of journalists have also been beaten with unpredicted cruelty.

Now Yanukovych is trying to pretend he didn’t know what was happening. As usually he’s saying “Sorry” in front of the camera and then “Get ‘em!” on his secret phone. Today the Parliament is about to vote to dismiss the Government and we’ve already witnessed the false of his words. Some people of criminal look had been gathered near the Parliament’s building since early morning and the stage had been erected. Why do they do this if they say that peaceful demonstrations are fine? Because they want to imitate that Ukraine is divided in two parts: pro and against (President, EU, language, etc.). How do they do this? By imitations of some other part of Ukraine, almost non-existent now, who go out in the streets for the president. The hired criminals (or whoever they are) supposed to start fighting with the police and show the very bad pictures of Ukrainian people. Bad pictures may be used as a reason for cruel acts of the police, as the evidence of bad intentions of the opposition.

EU and US! If you want a well educated and peaceful European nation to remain a part of Euro-atlantic community you MUST help us. You know the ways and you have resources!
