Milepost 249 SNG 4498 - a photo on Flickriver

            A lovely morning walk to this fabulous spot at Milepost 249 Blea Moor south tunnel to see the welcome return of A4 'Sir Nigel Gresley'. The fireman was busy all the way up shovelling more coal on the fire for the final few yards to the summit. In the background Ingleborough dominates the scene a wonderful backdrop. A fabulous sight and sound on a windy day in the northern fells. Well done to the Sir Nigel Gresley Locomotive Trust and all the members with the overhaul of this wonderful locomotive. For this run 4498 was in wartime black livery.
