Hindelooper schilderkunst  of Hindelooper schilderwerk is volksschilderkunst afkomstig uit de Friese plaats Hindeloopen. De kunst werd toegepast op bedsteewanden, meubels, zoals de flap-aan-de-wand, kleerhangers, reiskoffers, eierdopjes etc. Voor de beschilderingen werden kenmerkende kleuren rood, blauw, wit en groen gebruikt. Soms werden er andere kleuren gebruikt, zoals bruin, dodekop (Donker rood), geel en crème.

De motieven waren onder andere bloemen en bladeren, zoals die van de acanthus. Bloemmotieven waren tulpen, papaverbollen en rozen. Ook werden dieren afgebeeld; vooral paradijsvogels, die geluk zouden brengen. Grotere werken tonen Bijbelse afbeeldingen, zeegezichten of allegorische vrouwfiguren, zoals het drietal geloof, hoop en liefde. De thema's waren ook afkomstig uit de klassieke mythologie, bijvoorbeeld in de vorm van zeegod Poseidon. De motieven werden gevonden in platenbijbels en prentenboeken werden de motieven gevonden.

Hindelooper painting or Hindelooper painting is folk painting from the Frisian town of Hindeloopen. The art was applied to box-bed walls, furniture, such as the flap-on-the-wall, clothes hangers, suitcases, egg cups, etc. For the paintings characteristic colors of red, blue, white and green were used. Other colors were sometimes used, such as brown, deadhead (dark red), yellow and cream.

The motifs included flowers and leaves, such as those of the acanthus. Flower motifs were tulips, poppy bulbs and roses. Animals were also depicted; especially birds of paradise, which are said to bring good luck. Larger works show biblical images, seascapes or allegorical female figures, such as the trio of faith, hope and love. The themes also originated from classical mythology, for example in the form of the sea god Poseidon. The motifs were found in picture bibles and picture books, the motifs were found.
