► Situé sur la presqu’île d’une boucle de l’Auvézère, Ségur-le-Château est, comme son nom l’indique, un « lieu sûr » qu’avaient choisi les vicomtes de Limoges pour y établir leur château fort. 

► S’il ne reste aujourd’hui qu’un donjon de cet édifice du XIIème siècle, maisons nobles à tourelles ou à colombages témoignent en nombre de l’époque fastueuse que connut le village du XVème au XVIIIème siècle.
