The Tempest

            On the way back from Wyoming, not too far into Colorado the sky seemed to explode. The constant rumble and vivid colors from the lightening inside the storm in combination with the sunset to my back compelled me to pull over and take the photo. I really didn't want to get out…

The neat thing about this photo is that I have about 25 more exposures of varying crops. Some in closer and some wider. I didn't have to do anything to the image, except add a touch of contrast. 

This image was selected to be in the NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC book, 'Getting Your Shot'.
