Silverstone Classic 20.7.18 - a photo on Flickriver

            March's 1972 F1 offering, the revolutionary 721X, was so bad that they had to produce an alternative in a hurry, based on the F2 chassis.  They produced it so quickly that they gave it the suffix 'G', for Guinness Book of Records.  Most 721Gs were rebuilt for the 1973 season as 731s, but here is Matt Wrigley in a Mike Beuttler-liveried car in qualifying for the FIA Masters Historic F1 race.  He came home 12th overall on Saturday, followed by 13th on Sunday, a very reasonable result.
