The Duchess of Sutherland. - a photo on Flickriver

What a magnificent engine this is. I never saw one of these during the days of British Railways, as they rarely strayed into South Yorkshire. The first ever Coronation Class I saw in steam was when this engine came through Doncaster in 2014. It is immense, and I think it is the equal of, if not better than, the LNER A4.

I am very pleased that my photographs occasionally get on to Explore, but I am constantly surprised about the ones that get chosen! Thank you Flickr Explore! I think this is the first railway picture that I've had on there.
