7th December 2020. Bridges over the River Irwell, Prestolee, Bolton, Lancashire.

            A group of three bridges over the Irwell at Prestolee. Nearest to the camera is a footbridge (late 18th Century before the aqueduct), the concrete arched bridge (1960) carries some kind of sewage pipework over the river, and at the back in this photograph is the 1793 aqueduct that carries the Manchester, Bolton and Bury Canal.
