Extra 255 borrowed a pair of NS ponies for a hot slab train to Aberdeen yard. After spotting the train, in it's entirety, in the 'deen, they head through downtown Hamilton to tie down at Kinnear for the night.

I gather things were pretty crazy for NS in Buffalo around this time, and having a big string of loaded steel gons to be spotted a short 50 miles inside Canada, I'm thinking they were more then happy to let CP borrow the power to clear out some much needed track space in Bison. The train and a tone of empty gons would head back to Buffalo the next day.
