Rise of the rebuilt MACs - a photo on Flickriver

            MACs have pretty much gone away, many to storage and some rebuilt into SD70MACes (MAC shells with ACe hardware), as seen here.

Seeing a MAC of any kind on a stack train is a treat, and to see two is even nicer still. This train was BNSF S LPCSEA.

BNSF 9717 and 9725 were built in Feb of '96 for the newly formed BNSF in BN's executive scheme.

They are now the new SD70MACes rebuilt by BNSF.
