Spring melt - a photo on Flickriver

Spring melt

            A pool of meltwater forms on the ice-covered surface of the small lake at Idlewild Park.  A very late spring is finally here, although the weather continues to bring snow squalls, wild winds and much colder than average temperatures.  

I wanted to capture the soft blue sky reflection on meltwater, surrounded by the whites and greys of late-winter ice and snow, a hopeful sign of a long-overdue warming.
