Taken during my recent stay in south Devon.

As ever, loads of pairs, or families, of these all along the coast path, where it is usually very tricky to get a shot, as you walk along beside the low stunted hedgerows and bracken on the cliff edges, open fields to the other side. The Stonechats virtually always kept themselves just out of reach of a decent shot, relaying along the boundary fence line ahead of you from perch to prominent perch, where they could see you coming early, before frustratingly flying back down the line to their starting point as they reach their territorial boundary!

I did manage to sneak up on this one to some extent!
