I went up to this site in the north-east Peak because it has been a good location for close views of Yellowhammers in recent years and also Brambling in winter months.

However, plenty of other more common farmland / woodland species come down to feed and it is impossible to resist photographing these little gems. It did occur to me after posting that several predominant colours of Blue Tit plumage have some significance in these disturbing days, though it wasn't the reason I originally picked out this shot to post. Though it does seem to me quite apt.
