Hochofenblick in Duisburg-Beeck - a photo on Flickriver

            Noch pendeln auf den Duisburger Straßenbahnlinien die altehrwürdigen DVG Düwag GT 10 NC-DU im markant eckigen Design der Achtziger Jahre. Wobei die ersten Nachfolger-Bahnen bereits in Dienst sind und bis Ende 2024 den Gesamtverkehr übernehmen sollen. 
Auf der Hauptstraße von Duisburg-Beeck ist es aktuell noch möglich die Triebwagen zusammen mit der für das "alte Ruhrgebiet" typischen Schwerindustrie auf ein Bild zu bekommen. Genau in der Straßenfluch stehen die nur subjektiv alten Hochöfen 8 (rechts, BJ 2007) und 9 (links, BJ 1987) des ThyssenKrupp Stahlwerkes Duisburg-Hamborn.
Triebwagen 1033 (BJ 1991) hat am Vormittag des 13. Mai 2023 die auf der Linie 901 liegende Haltestelle "Duisburg Beeck Denkmal" gerade verlassen und fährt nun gemächlich über die "lebhafte" Friedrich-Ebert-Straße nach Süden. Ziel seiner Reise ist Mühlheim Hauptbahnhof.
