            My Thursday morning trip to Lone Elk Park was not a disappointment. I got to hear a bull elk bugle not once but three times, something I had never heard before. I also got to see and photograph two battling, and at one point there were three of them gathered, I wondered what would happen next. I caught this image from my car window. It was loud, and I could hear antlers hitting, they were grunting along with pushing and shoving each other. At one point one must have gotten pierced by an antler as it took off running and bucking.  Photographed in Valley Park, Missouri.
