SBB 460 012 "Western Union" + IC - Luogelkin-viadukt Hohtenn

            Op een mooie warme zomerdag in 2001 was ik in Zwitserland om mijn lijstje met "moet ik nog fotograferen - locaties" af te werken. Het Luogelkinviadukt op de zuidelijke Lötschbergrampe stond daarbij natuurlijk bovenaan het lijstje. 
Het hoogtepunt op deze locatie was voor mij SBB Lok 460 012 - met reclame voor Western Union - die met een Intercity trein van Brig op weg naar Basel SBB was. In de achtergrond is nog het station Hohtenn te herkennen... 

Einer der absoluten Höhepunkten an der südlichen Lötschbergrampe ist das Luogelkin-Viadukt bei Hohtenn. Deswegen stand dieses Motiv auch hoch auf meiner "to-do-Liste" als ich im Sommer 2001 in der Schweiz war. Im Bild ist SBB 460 012 "Western Union" mit einem IC von Brig nach Basel unterwegs und befährt gerade das Viadukt. Im Hintergrund erkennt man noch das Bahnhofsgebäude von Hohtenn.

We call it a classic... the Luogelkin-Viadukt on the southern Lötschberg railwayline. 
On June 23rd 2001 I was near Hohtenn and this location was high on my wish list. The weather was gorgeous and all I had to do was wait for an interesting train to pass by. This came in the shape of SBB 460 012 - with a Western Union design - which pushed an intercity train towards Basel SBB, seen here crossing the viadukt.
