Ainsa (Huesca)

            La villa de Aínsa (en aragonés L'Aínsa), es un pueblo de la provincia de Huesca, en la comarca de Sobrarbe, en la Comunidad Autónoma de Aragón (España).
Está situado en el alto Pirineo de Huesca. Es la capital junto a Boltaña del antiguo condado de Sobrarbe.
Parte de su término municipal está ocupado por el Parque natural de la Sierra y los Cañones de Guara.
Su núcleo original, que se emplaza en un promontorio sobre la confluencia de los ríos Cinca y Ara, está formado por dos calles casi paralelas, la calle Mayor y la calle Santa Cruz, por la plaza Mayor que se sitúa a continuación del castillo situado en una explanada, a proximidad de la Cruz Cubierta, templete donde la leyenda sitúa el milagro de la aparición de la cruz de fuego sobre una carrasca, que dio la victoria a las tropas cristianas al mando del rey García Jiménez.
Con clara distribución medieval, el casco histórico de Aínsa está declarado Conjunto Histórico-Artístico desde 1965. Actualmente es un centro turístico de relevancia, tal y como constató su elección como capital de Turismo Rural 2018, y uno de Los Pueblos más Bonitos de España.
Situada estratégicamente en la confluencia de los ríos Cinca y Ara, Aínsa es un punto de partida privilegiado para realizar excursiones a pie o en bicicleta, para montañeros y esquiadores, para cazadores y pescadores que encuentran aquí uno de los pocos rincones vírgenes que quedan en la actualidad, para amantes del arte y de la historia, y desde el que visitar el Parque Nacional de Ordesa y Monte Perdido, el Parque Natural Posets-Maladeta y, atravesando el “Biello Sobrarbe”, el Parque Natural de los Cañones y la Sierra de Guara.
