The Barcelona Pavilion designed by architect Mies van der Rohe (1929, reconstructed 1980's)

            he Barcelona Pavilion (also known as the ”German Pavilion”) was originally designed by architect Mies Van der Rohe for the 1929 International Exposition in Barcelona. The Pavilion was demolished in 1930 after the Exposition (it was intented to exist only temporarily). The Pavilion was reconstructed in 1980’s by group of Catalan architects. The Pavilion is considered to be an important building in the architecture history, especially in the history of modern architecture. The sculpture in one of the water pools is ”Alba” by Georg Kolbe.
