            Commentary.

Above Loch Carron and Strome Ferry, and just east of Achmore, there is a viewpoint that takes in most of Carron’s north and south shores.
It is a lay-by made from former bends in the old single-track road.
It seemed apt to take this image between Pine and Mountain-Ash or Rowan.
A splash of colour provided by the violet Foxglove
added contrast to a verdant scene.
As with most sea-lochs Loch Carron is massed
with forest, flower, fern and heather.
With superb mountain backdrops including
the Black Cuillins of Skye, and the Applecross, Torridon and Kintail Ranges, this area is simply breath-taking.
Plockton, Kyle of Lochalsh and Skye are all within reach.
The prospects of stunning places and landscapes is exhilarating.
Few places on Earth can have so much beauty concentrated within so small an area.
Every twist and turn, every gap in the trees demands perusal, contemplation and often a captured image.
