            Castle Hof ter Geesten

Castle Hof ter Geesten is mentioned as early as 1727 as the property of Karel-Philip le Clercq, chief alderman of the city of Dendermonde.

Until the French Revolution, it would have been inhabited by the noble family Gillard van Nieuwvelde, from Burgundy.

In the early 19th century, the castle was owned by the president of the court of Dendermonde.

Since 2004, the entire domain has been protected as a monument.

Kasteel Hof ter Geesten wordt al in 1727 vermeld als eigendom van Karel-Philip le Clercq, hoofdschepen van de stad Dendermonde.

Tot de Franse Revolutie zou het bewoond geweest zijn door de adellijke familie Gillard van Nieuwvelde, afkomstig uit Bourgondië.

In het begin van de 19e eeuw was het kasteel eigendom van de voorzitter van de rechtbank van Dendermonde.

Sinds 2004 is het volledige domein als monument beschermd.
