Somewhere Over the Western U.S. (Black & White)

            I'd lost the GPS lock with my camera so I wasn't quite certain of my location (hence the western U.S. location), but what I was really trying to capture with this image was the way this accumulation of clouds seemed to billow up in the skies nearby. I later used a technique I'd read from Jason Odell in his book on Capture NX2 where one works with the LCH editor. After that, I converted the image to black & white and was able to bring out a much richer tonal contrast for the final image.
