The Morning Light Breaks Across the Port Side Wing

            While most of that morning had been overcast before and during my flight out of Austin, it was a short while later when the plane reached a cruising altitude, that I noticed the light from the morning sun coming across the horizon. While I knew I could capture an image looking across the wing and get a good focus, I was also concerned about blowing any highlights as that light was much brighter than the area nearby still caught in shadows. I was able to find a “Zone 5” point and use that to meter a shutter speed that I could use to capture this image.
