A Portrait Orientation of Tall Cypress Trees Caught in the Light of the Afternoon Sun (Congaree National Park)

            While most of the images captured walking along the Boardwalk Loop Trail were landscape in their orientation, here I wanted to capture that full height to my front. Yes, I know that it wouldn't have that feel of a wide-eye look, but I felt it was more important to go from top to bottom with a setting in Congaree National Park. Below would be the water still present in the floodplain with shadows and colors and reflections. Then above would be the canopy of greens and yellows and hints of blue skies above. All of that captured in the light of the afternoon sun.
