            Let Me Not Make Waste of Time as I Move Amongst the Mountains
The trail ahead is arduous but worthwhile in so many ways
I hear the birds sing that songful joy of another day
   and the waters roar through the canyon nearby
The wind moves across the folds of the Earth, seemingly caressing my face
There is no reason to go far away as I have found my home
I have only one wish to be happy and smile with the coming day. 

Another work of short poetry or prose to complement the image captured one early afternoon while walking the Little Coal Creek Trail in Denali State Park. The view is looking beyond some nearby trees on a slight rise along the trail with Denali high above in both reality and the image.

My thinking with this image was to just capture the simple beauty that was around me as I walked the trail. While some images attempt to focus on a specific thing and compose the image from that, my feeling was to capture a wide eyed look of amazement to both near and far. That's kind of what happened to me as I stood at this slight rise along the trail: I just stood and soaked in the view with the trees nearby and Denali far off in the distance.

I did some initial post-processing work making adjustments to contrast, brightness and saturation while playing around as I learned how to work with DxO PhotoLabs 3 that I’d recently purchased after moving away from Capture NX2. I then exported a TIFF image to Nik Color Efex Pro 4 where I added a Polarization, Foliage, and Pro Contrast filter for that last effect on the image captured.
